“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater; So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me [c]void, But it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”  Isaiah 55:10-11

When the rain and snow fall, they do not return to their source without first yielding a result, the ground is watered and plants grow.  This growth provides both bread and seed to the those that sow.   More beneficial than the rainfall is the Word of God.  God’s Word goes forth and “always produces fruit”.  The Word of God is, at all time, effective. It does not return to the Source empty or void of success.  It’s effect cannot be nullified or cancelled.  No matter what anyone else says, God’ Word can never be deemed useless.  When He speaks, His intended desire will be accomplished and His purposes will be achieved.  Stake your confidence in the Word of God!  It is powerful and effective, producing great results in our lives.  You can believe it when I say, “the Word W.O.R.K.S.”  Living Lives of Wholeness, Obedience, Righteousness. and Kingdom Success.

I WILL Wednesday

I read this inspirational post entitled “We Believe What We Tell Ourselves”. It was all about positive internal messages we give ourselves, and how they alter our view of ourselves. This was good stuff, but it fell short of being God stuff. Words, indeed, are powerful. They can change your mind and shape your future. But God’s Word is alive and active (Hebrews 4:12). It’s more than just words on a page. God’s Words are life-giving and life-changing.

It is so important that we immerse ourselves in the Word of God. We do this in many ways. We should also practice declaring God’s Word!

Declaring God’s Word is to speak the Word aloud. Yes, aloud. Why? When we speak the Word, we bring to mind what God’s Word says about our circumstances. This helps to banish fear and doubt.
We proclaim victory over the enemy; we declare that he is a defeated foe. We also develop a habit that can help shape our words and our responses. When we are faced with challenges, we instinctively respond with the Truth, rather than with worry, fear, and apprehension. As we speak the Truth, it will become more and more real to us, it will become a part of us.

I know many will say, “But what about how I feel?” Or “This seems fake to me.” Declaring God’s Word is not a magic formula that ignores the facts. However, when you Declare God’s Word, you choose God’s Truth over facts.

For I WILL Wednesday, we explore the I WILLs passages in scripture.  We seek to understand them and confess them over our own lives.   We are changing our WORDS, our THINKING and our LIVES through the WORD OF GOD.

Write The Word

The Word of God is so important in our lives. It’s more than words on pages; it’s living and life giving.

The Word of God is a wellspring to a dry and thirsty soul.

The Word will strengthen a weary heart.

The Word can redirect your focus towards purposeful things.

The Word brings comfort to wounded souls.

Yes friends, THE WORD W.O.R.K.S.
