We are in the final days of the ETW study, Parables of Jesus: Revealing the Heart of the Kingdom!

As we conclude this powerful study, I want to leave you with one of the greatest Kingdom promises: Jesus is coming!
In the Parable of the Traveling Master and the Household, Mark 13:34-37, Jesus reminds us to stay watchful and prepared for His return. Like a man who leaves his house and tells his servants to stay alert while he’s away, Jesus calls us to live with a sense of readiness. The unexpected nature of His coming means we cannot afford to be complacent or distracted.
This parable encourages us to cultivate a heart of vigilance—continually living in faith, obedience, and anticipation. Staying alert isn’t about fear but about trust and hopeful expectation. As we wait, we are called to faithfully serve and live in a way that honors God, knowing that our Master will return at the perfect time. Let’s ask God to help us remain watchful and ready, living each day with purpose and devotion.
