Embrace the Word ~ August 2023: 31 Days of Praise: Through the Storm (Scripture Reading and Writing Plan included)
Hey Sparrows!
Thank you for spending Summer in the Psalms with me! What an amazing trod through some of the Psalms. May we always continue to THIRST for God, TRUST Him with our lives, THRIVE in His goodness, and forever THANK Him for all He has done!
It’s still summer, and we are not done studying in Psalms yet!
Depending on where you are, the sun is shining and the days are long (and very hot). But for some, life feels more like winter, cold and dark, or like spring when the rain waters batter down.
The fierce storms of life beat down on all of us at some point! And what should we do? Let me tell you, that is the time to praise God! Praising God through the storms is essential to life!
I can personally tell you that praise saved my life! When I learned to lift my heart to the only One who could heal, mend, or create my heart anew, I began to know and appreciate the power of praise! Praise is a weapon of spiritual warfare that can silence the voice of the enemy!
So this month, we are staying in Psalms, but shifting our focus to praise! Our Embrace the Word theme is 31 Days of Praise: Through the Storm.
We will drive into the Word and look at scriptures where the psalmists were honest about their pain, yet they praised the Lord. They shifted their focus from pain to praise, and gained experiential knowledge of our God. They learned that:
He lifts our head
He delivers us
He fights for us
He hears and helps
He is worthy to be praised!
Whether you are enduring a storm, or not, join us for Embrace the Word’s 31 Days of Praise: Through the Storm. Let’s learn more about our beautiful Lord! Truly knowing Him is the only way to truly worship and serve Him!
So, let’s jump in! Dive deep into the Word to change your life. I challenge you to go deeper! Dig into the context of each passage. Engage with the weekly teachings on the monthly topic. Share your insights and what the Lord reveals in your heart. Share with a friend, your women’s ministry, or your small group.
