Hi family!

School is out for winter break, and it is time to start gearing up for the New Year’s ETW! I am so excited to share it with you! But there is still a lot left in this month. If you are waiting for a miracle, God can still do it this year! If you have been waiting for a breakthrough, God can still do it this month! Let’s not toss away these final days but submit them to the Lord. One of my life verses is Psalm 27:13-14

I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart. Wait, I say, on the Lord!

In week three of the ETW study, A Bold Celebration: Joy to the World, we looked at Mary’s visit with Elizabeth. On this visit, the baby that Elizabeth was carrying (John to Baptizer) leaped in her womb at the presence of the Savior. Elizabeth , filled with the Holy Spirit, declared “blessed is she who believed th at there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her from the Lord” ( Luke 1:45).

Blessed, in this context, means “happy.” It denotes a state of being favored by God, experiencing a state of happiness and well-being that is not affected by circumstances. So why was Mary blessed (happy, favored by God)? Because she believed.

Just months earlier, Zechariah responded in unbelief, rendering him mute until John was born. Mary, on the other hand, responded in faith! She believed and, therefore, experienced a state of blessings and favor.

What is your heart’s posture this holiday season? Will you believe in God? Will you trust the Word spoken over you and the plan He’s given you? Faith is a catalyst for enduring strength. As David declared, “I would have lost heart unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” Belief in God’s goodness helped Him to hold on. Mary experienced a state of happiness and favor because she believed. Both had yet to hold the promise, but because of faith, their heart could soar above even the most challenging circumstances.

My friend, cling to God’s promises! Believe with all your heart! You can genuinely be happy before anything happens if you just believe.

This week, we look at the birth of Jesus! There is so much to glean from these familiar scriptures. So lean in closely and let God speak to you!

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit, you may abound in hope. Romans 15:13
