We are down to the last few days of our Embrace the Word Study, Living with Bold Faith! What a powerful journey!
Our study ends with Bold Living, which includes living without fear! This is a big one for many of us. We must know and understand that if we have fear, it is not from God! He did not give us fear.
2 Timothy 1:7, says: for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
Paul encouraged youth pastor Timothy, reminding him that fear is a tactic of the enemy, designed to hinder the work of the Lord as Timothy took on leadership in Ephesus. Fear is one of the enemy’s most potent weapons, often preventing the work from even beginning.
Instead of folding to fear, God has blessed us with power, specifically the dynamis power of the Holy Spirit, enabling us to boldly carry out the work assigned to us. Additionally, God has bestowed upon us agape love, which should serve as the driving force behind our ministry, compelling us to show self-sacrificial love, compassion, and kindness. Furthermore, instead of fear, God has gifted us with a spirit of self-control, allowing us to operate with sound judgment and personal discipline, in contrast to the irrational decision-making and heightened stress associated with fear. With this in mind, we should walk forward bravely and boldly without fear!
As we end this study, my prayer for you is that faith rises in your heart like never before—a faith that firmly believes in the God of the scriptures, capable of parting waters and toppling giants. May you have unwavering confidence that He hears even your faintest cries and answers prayers, expecting the impossible to unfold in your life. Let us continue to pray, Lord, make us bold!
