Kingdom Over Everything: The Sermon on the Mount – Week 1

Hello Family,

I’m excited to welcome you to our new Embrace the Word study, Kingdom Over Everything: The Sermon on the Mount! This month, we’ll dive deep into the Sermon on the Mount — the greatest sermon ever preached, filled with timeless wisdom and some of the most beloved passages in Scripture.

Sometimes familiar words can lose their freshness, and we might think we know them well enough. This is not true of the Word. The Word of God is living and active, and every verse remains as powerful and relevant today as when it was first spoken. This month, as we read, write, and meditate on Jesus’ longest recorded message, I encourage you to let these scriptures speak to you anew.

Take time to pore over each passage with fresh eyes. Our purposeful in context study will help you see connections and give you a better understanding of God’s Word. 

You can engage with this ETW study in many ways. You can:

A few notes for this month: 

The new Day 7 format will continue, giving you flexibility each week.

• You can engage using the D.W.E.L.L. Bible Study method or any method you prefer.
• Use Day 7 as a catch-up day if you need one, or spend time exploring other areas of scripture that speak to you. (To enrich your journey, I’ve included scriptures from the Gospel of Luke [The Sermon on the Plain] as a focus for Day 7, if you need it.)
