May 2025 Growing From Within: Cultivating the Fruit of the Spirit ~ Week 2

As the warm sunshine of May brightens our days, I hope this message finds you well and full of anticipation for our continued journey together!
Welcome to Week 2 of our Embrace the Word study, “Growing From Within: Cultivating the Fruit of the Spirit.”

Last week, we began a beautiful study of what it means to walk in the Spirit. We also focused on cultivating love. We discovered that love isn’t just something we do, but a reflection of who God is and who He calls us to be. As the apostle John reminds us, “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God” (1 John 4:7).
This week, we’re in for a treat as we wrap up our discussion on love and dive into two more fruits of the Spirit: joy and peace. These aren’t just superficial emotions, but realities that glow from walking in the Spirit.
We’ll explore how the joy of the Lord truly becomes our strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and how Jesus desires for His joy to be in us, making our joy complete (John 15:11). Can you imagine a life overflowing with Jesus’ joy?
In a world that often feels uncertain, we can have peace that “surpasses all understanding” (Philippians 4:7). This peace isn’t dependent on our circumstances but on our relationship with Jesus, the Prince of Peace Himself.
I’m thrilled to journey with you as we learn how the Holy Spirit cultivates fruit in our lives. Together, we’ll explore practical ways to open our hearts to His work, allowing Him to grow us from within.
