November Write the Word
Happy November Sparrow’s Song Family,
We have come down to the last two months of this year and what a year it has been! We all can look at events, things, or areas of our lives and find reasons to complain. But, as this year closes, I encourage you to shift your focus from the things that have caused pain, turmoil, and stress and instead gaze intently at our God. In the midst of all that has happened, He is still God and He is still good. Can I get an amen?
This month’s Write the Word theme reflects our response to a good God. Our theme is Thankful, Grateful, Blessed. Sure, it’s November, so let’s be thankful, but it’s far more than that. This month, I want us to cultivate an attitude of thanksgiving, look for the hands of God who is actively moving in our lives and recognize the blessings we experience on a continual basis.
Remember, writing the Word is a way to engage with the Word of God in a meaningful way. As you write, open your heart and allow the Lord to speak to you through His Word. This month, we will write beautiful verses that remind us to have a heart of thanksgiving like “Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Psalm 107:1. When we intentionally remind ourselves to be grateful, feelings of discontentment will melt away.
Dear friends, know that I am thankful, grateful, and blessed to share in this journey with you. As we enter the month of November, I pray this blessing over you:
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26
Be Blessed!
