Ruth: Loyalty, Loss, and the God Who Restores Week 5

Hello Sparrow’s Song Family!

Though we have finished Ruth, we still have a few more days left to see the God who restores at work!

Reflecting on the Journey:

• In Week One, we learned that even in our “Moab” seasons, God always welcomes us to return to Him.
• In Week Two, we saw that loyalty, hard work, and integrity are needed virtuous attributes. Still, it is God who divinely orchestrates our way.
• In Week Three, we traded the work of the fields for the rest of the Threshing Floor, learning that waiting is easier when we recognize that our redeemer is at work.
• In Week Four, we watched as Boaz legally settled the matter, pointing to Jesus paying the price so we could be His bride.

We will spend the final three days exploring related scripture that speaks of the Lord’s righteousness, the Wedding Feast of the Lamb, and His bride, and the moment the Lord will wipe away every tear from our eyes.

In our final lesson, we look at Revelation 21:4, where the Redeemer personally wipes away our every tear. What began as a story of three widows in a broken land ends as a story of a royal lineage and an eternal Kingdom.

As we close this study, remember that we don’t have to wait for the New Heaven to experience redemption and restoration. Because of Jesus, the price has already been paid; it is finished. You are not a foreigner; you are a daughter. You are not empty; you have been made new.

May you walk out of this month with the “Robe of Righteousness” around your shoulders and the “Oil of Joy” in your heart. Your story is not defined by what you lost in Moab, but by Who found you in Bethlehem.
