Standing on the Word 9/15/20
Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7
I tried to carry it all. Worries, cares, stress, and anxiety bore down on me like a ton. My shoulders slumped from the load that I was not designed to carry. My knees buckled under the weighed and my heart ached, longing for relief. All of this was the result of allowing fear and worry to consume me. Then someone told me this was not God’s best for me.
The Voice translation of 1 Peter 5:7 reads like this: “Since God cares for you, let Him carry all your burdens and worries.” God does not want us to be weighted down with what He promises to carry. To cast is “to throw upon or place upon” someone else. You can give Jesus every weight. You can cast it on Him, because He can bear it. He will not only carry every one of your cares, but He will also carry you. So if you are burdened with worries, fear, dread, anxiety or anything, cast your cares on the Father, He cares for you!
What are you standing on?
