Write the Word-April 2021

Happy April!

Wow!  We’ve just finished the first quarter of 2021!  Though we are done with one quarter, there are still three more quarters to go.  What will you do with the rest of this year? What has God called you to do this year?

When asked, “What is keeping you from doing what God has called you to do?” most people would answer with one word—fear.  Fear has the potential to paralyze God’s people and strips away their confidence.  Fear can cause people, who are destined for greatness, to end up living life saying, “if only.”

Many Bible scholars say that there are over 300 places in scripture that admonish us to resist fear (one author says that there are 365, one for each day of the year)! With uncertainty, anxiety, and sometimes pure dread, how can we resist fear? We can resist fear by knowing that Jesus is with us. Through Him, we already have the victory. Through Him, we are able to stand against the toughest situation and know we will win.

You are a necessary part of building God’s Kingdom! Someone is counting on you. They are counting on you to be bold in your faith.  They need you speaking words of life into dark situations.  They need YOU, friends.  I need you.

This month’s Write the Word theme is Fear Not!   We will dive into some of the powerful scriptures where God instructs His people not to fear;  where Jesus expressed to the disciples that He would be there with them, and where people leaned on the power of God, faced their fears, and were victorious.

I would love for you to join us as we Write the Word. I would also love to hear from you.  I would love to hear how God speaks to you during this month. Join the Sparrow’s Song Facebook Group here.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace,

Erica
