Write the Word January 2021

Happy New Year!

What a great new day, that brings new opportunities. 2020 was a unique year, one like we’ve never seen before. So much loss, pain, and devastation loomed all year long. Many people lost hope, lost motivation, and just simply gave up. However God did not call us to be quitters or to give up when things seem difficult. He called us to ENDURE.  As we face this new year, we must shift our perspective and see promise, with the eyes of faith, instead of anticipating problems. We should know that the hand of God is moving in our lives even when it is difficult.

This month, the Write the Word theme is Running With Endurance. There has been a race set before each of us. Some have began to run, but have tired out quickly. Others have decided to throw in the towel and give up. Some have not even started to run!  We ALL have been called to run—not just run, but run with endurance!  I know it may be a long road, but we have the greatest inspiration—Jesus.

This month we will find encouragement for the road ahead from passages like Hebrews 12:1-2:  Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

As you write, allow the Word of God to come alive in you! Allow the Word to revive you and inspire you to continue to run with endurance, knowing that endurance produces character.  Know thatthere is an eternal perspective when we endure, and know that through it all, you are not alone.

Kick start your new year by Writing the Word.  I would love for you to join us.  I would also love to here from you!  Let me know how the journey is going!  Join the Sparrow’s Song Facebook Group. Come Grow, Learn, and Share with us.

You all are in my prayers!
