Hello Sparrow’s Song Family!

October is here! For some of us, the past few months may have been very hectic, confusing, heart breaking, or just devastating overall. With the continuing rise of Covid-19, the struggles of online learning, and the upcoming election people are at a loss and are in need of the peace of God. 

I am reminded of a scripture that comes from the Gospel of John. Chapter 14, verse 27.

“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

In this passage, Jesus reassures His disciples that He is providing them with peace. Through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, Jesus gave the disciples access to a peace that surpasses all understanding and would help them in times of trouble. 

As we begin this new month of writing out the Word I want to encourage you. The peace of God is with you, and in you. In each scripture for this month we will be reminded of Jesus’ promised gift of peace not only to His disciples but to us as well. 

“Do good! Seek peace and go after it!” Psalm 34:14
