A Thrill of Hope
Oh Holy Night is one of my favorite Christmas songs. It tells of the night of the birth of our Savior. What a wonderful night when God’s gift to the world was given. As the song says, when Christ was born there was “a thrill of hope.” The manger held an excitement that would change the whole world—Jesus, the greatest gift.
That hope still remains today. Hope that anchors our soul in times of trouble and distress. Hope that helps us endure when it seems that we can’t go on. Hope is not just a feeling or an emotion. Hope transcends our current reality. That hope, is only found in Jesus. Christ in us, He is the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27)
May the weary world still rejoice in Christ, the real gift of Christmas!
