April 2025 “Jesus, the Worthy Lamb of God” ~ Week 4

Hello family! I hope you all had a fabulous Resurrection Day celebrating our Risen Lord, Jesus Christ! 

We are almost through April! It is flying by! We are also almost through our ETW study, Jesus, the Worthy Lamb of God. We have focused our hearts and minds on worshipping Jesus for who He is.

Jesus is our Passover Lamb

He is the perfect and ultimate sacrifice for sin. We don’t have to put hope in the blood of bulls and goats. Jesus shed His blood to wash us clean. 

Cleanse out the old leaven that you may be a new lump, as you really are unleavened. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. 1 Corinthians 5:7

Jesus is the Resurrection and Life

Jesus’ resurrection would let us know that death does not have the final say! Jesus has the power and authority over death, and He came so that we may have life NOW and in the resurrection. 

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me, though he die, yet shall he live John 11:25

Jesus is the Firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep

Jesus’ resurrection makes Him the firstfruits of the resurrection. Because He rose, we have a guarantee that we will also be raised to eternal life. 

But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 1 Corinthians 15:20

Jesus is our Triumphant Warrior

Jesus won a rousing victory at Calvary, and His resurrection assures us of eternal life and the complete overthrow of sin, death, hell, and the grave. 

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:57

Yes! The resurrection means so much for us! I know I have said this repeatedly, but it is worth saying it once more–We should celebrate the resurrection every day! But more importantly, we should celebrate the LORD of the resurrection, Jesus, the worthy Lamb of God. 

This week, we will continue to talk about the resurrection. There is still so much to unpack.
