April 2025 “Jesus, the Worthy Lamb of God” ~ Week 3

I know this email is about 12 hours late! I’m so sorry.
It’s Week Three of the Embrace the Word Study: Jesus, the Worthy Lamb of God, and it’s Passion Week! Passion Week (or Holy Week) refers to the final week of Jesus Christ’s earthly ministry leading up to His crucifixion and resurrection.

But this past weekend, my family celebrated the life of my darling grandmother. If you’ve been around for some time, you know I speak about my grandmother often and always invite you to celebrate her birthday with me each year. This year, she turned 100 years old (God is so good)! She is now in her heavenly home.
I share this with you so that you can rejoice with me over a life well lived and also because my grandmother’s homegoing reminds me of the hope we find in the resurrection of Jesus!
1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 says, “But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.”
There are those who are asleep in Christ. Because of the resurrection, God will bring them home with Him. This is a comfort to all who have lost loved ones in the Lord. There is a present reality of the resurrection, too!
If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. Romans 8:11
I believe in the Resurrection of Jesus! I believe that God raised Him for the dead! And I believe that the same power that raised Jesus lives in me. And the Holy Spirit of God in me gives me LIFE!
Even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus Ephesians 2:5-6
You see, the promise of the Resurrection is not just a future promise. It is a promise for right now! Because He lives, I am alive in Christ Jesus, now! And I am seated in heavenly places, now! Thank You, Jesus!
This week, we will continue looking at Passion Week and Resurrection Sunday. We will also continue diving into the beauty of the resurrection! The resurrection changed EVERYTHING! And I’m so glad.
