Embrace the Word ~ March 2024: Bold and Beautiful

Hello Sparrow’s Song Family!

This year, we started off by exploring how we can live with BOLD faith. We explored how living with BOLD faith helps us face challenges with resilience, pursue our callings with confidence, and positively impact our communities.

We then looked at what it looks like to love as Christ BOLDLY with our February study of BOLD LOVE.

As the year quickly moves, we are moving right along into March, which is also Women’s History Month. What better way to celebrate women in history than by studying women in scripture who lived BOLDLY for God. In fact, it is in scripture that we recognize that Jesus was a liberator of women, bringing honor and dignity to them.

Jesus challenged societal norms by treating women with respect and equality, empowering them to be active participants in His ministry. He broke barriers by advocating for the rights and dignity of women, setting an example of love and compassion for all.

This month’s Embrace the Word theme is Bold and Beautiful: Unveiling the Strength and Grace of Remarkable Women of the Bible.

This month, we will look at Ruth and Naomi, Hannah, Esther, Mary, and the Woman with the Issue of Blood. These six women share something in common: they all displayed unwavering faith, courage, and determination in their journeys of living boldly for God, serving as inspiring examples of resilience, trust, and devotion in the face of adversity. As we do a topical study this month, we will explore how each woman, with Christ, lived a life that was BOLD and BEAUTIFUL.

Ruth and Naomi – Bold AND Devoted

Hannah – Bold AND Persistent

Esther – Bold AND Courageous

Mary – Bold AND Obedient

Woman with the Issue of Blood – Bold AND Transformed

As we go on this Bold and Beautiful journey, I challenge you to think of areas in your life that you may be called to be Bold! Our world needs you to stand up and be the woman God is calling for in this day and age. It’s like Mordecai’s words to Esther, who knows whether YOU are called for such a time as this!

For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this? Esther 4:14
