Hello family,

Welcome to the final three days of the Embrace the Word study Summer in the Psalms: Psalm 119 – Life in the Word!As we wrap up our study on Life in the Word, it’s time to reflect on where you are in your journey with Scripture and consider your next steps.

(Link to the FREE Devotional Guide at the end of this email)

We began (in the devotional guide) exploring these three paths:

The Plodding Path

You know God’s Word exists, but life’s busyness or distractions keep you from engaging with it regularly. What’s holding you back from diving deeper into God’s Word?

Diving deeper into God’s Word can be hindered by several factors, such as a lack of time due to daily responsibilities, difficulty in understanding the Bible, and feelings of disconnect or even disinterest. Competing priorities also make it challenging to engage meaningfully with Scripture. Be honest with yourself! Recognizing these obstacles is the first step toward overcoming them!

Here are some tips:

  • Set aside consistent time daily—even as little as 5 minutes—to engage with Scripture.
  • Use Bible apps, devotionals, or audio Bibles to make learning easier.
  • Join a small group or find an accountability partner to help you stay engaged regularly.
  • Create a quiet, inviting space free from distractions dedicated to Bible time.

The Curious Path

You read God’s Word sometimes and try to apply it, but consistency and fully living it out remain challenges. What practical step can help you trust and obey God’s Word more regularly?

Keeping a journal to note insights and personal applications can encourage you and track your progress, while engaging with a supportive community offers discussion and accountability.

Here are some tips:

  • Follow a reading plan or devotional focused on practical application.
  • Journal reflections on how a passage applies to your daily choices.
  • Memorize key verses that address your current challenges or doubts.
  • Pray regularly for God’s help to live out His Word and celebrate small victories.

The Path of Life

You delight in God’s Word, allowing it to guide your decisions, comfort your heart, and shape your character. Scripture is your steady source of strength and joy. How can you inspire and encourage others to walk this joyful path with you?

To inspire others to walk a joyful path, share personal testimonies of how Scripture has impacted your life. Invite friends and family to participate in Bible studies or devotional times to nurture a supportive community. Model a lifestyle that reflects God’s Word through your actions and attitudes, serving as a living example. Finally, offer encouragement and support to those struggling in their faith, creating a compassionate environment that fosters growth.

Here are some tips:

  • Be intentional about sharing Scripture-based encouragement on social media or in conversations.
  • Host or participate in group studies, prayer meetings, or faith-building activities.
  • Mentor someone newer in their faith journey, offering guidance and accountability.
  • Pray for opportunities and boldness to be a light and encouragement to others.

No matter where you are, God meets you there and invites you to take one step deeper. Keep seeking, keep growing, and let His Word transform your life bit by bit.
