Psalm 107: Testify! Let the Redeemed of the Lord Say So! Week 1

Hello Family!

Welcome to Week One of our new Embrace the Word study! We’re still spending Summer in the Psalms, but in August, we’ll journey together through Psalm 107, a powerful chapter filled with stories of redemption, rescue, and God’s unfailing love. Our theme this month is Psalm 107: Testify! Let the Redeemed of the Lord Say So!

Psalm 107 calls us not only to remember our stories but also to boldly tell them. As verse 2 says:

“Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he has redeemed from trouble.”

Throughout the study, we will explore four key redemption stories found in Psalm 107:

• The Wanderer — God delivers us from wandering.
• The Prisoner — God breaks our chains.
• The Sin-Sick — God rescues us from the consequences of our mistakes.
• The Sailor — God rescues us from the storm.

We’ll also dive into other narratives in Scripture that showcase God’s faithful rescue.

This month, you’ll be encouraged to reflect on your own story—how Jesus has made a difference in your life. While our stories may be different, we all share one beautiful truth: If we are saved, Jesus has rescued us all! No matter the struggle—infertility, addiction, abuse, rejection—we all have a story of grace. The question is: How will you tell yours?

This study is more than reading—it’s an invitation to dig deep, reflect, and engage with God’s Word in a way that transforms your heart and strengthens your faith.
