Kingdom Over Everything: The Sermon on the Mount – Week 3
Hello Family,
Welcome to Week Three of our Embrace the Word study, Kingdom Over Everything: The Sermon on the Mount! This week, we focus on the powerful, passionate love that defines God’s Kingdom—a love the world desperately needs right now. With so much division and hurt around us, the love of Jesus and the beauty of His Kingdom must shine brighter than ever.

Jesus warned us in Matthew 24:12, “Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold.” We see this all around us—bitterness, anger, division, and hateful rhetoric tearing people apart. But if we truly belong to God’s Kingdom, we cannot afford to let our hearts grow cold. We must refuse to be drawn into battles that divide and destroy. Instead, we must be the light, the peacemakers, the ones who love like Jesus.
Remember Our Savior’s words from the Sermon on the Mount:
- “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy” (Matthew 5:7)
- “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God” (Matthew 5:9)
- “Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you” (Matthew 5:44)
This love is radical. It’s countercultural. It’s Kingdom living. And it’s what the world needs now more than ever.
This week, we will focus on Kingdom priorities—how to truly embrace and embody them as we live Kingdom Over Everything. My prayer is that we don’t just study these truths but that they take root deeply in our hearts, shaping every word we speak and every action we take.
Let’s commit to being people who reflect Jesus’ love boldly and faithfully, standing firm in hope and grace amidst challenging times. The world is watching, and through us, they can see the beauty of God’s Kingdom come to earth.
