Welcome to Week 4 of our Embrace the Word study, Kingdom Over Everything: The Sermon on the Mount! This week, we’ll dive deeper into Kingdom priorities and explore the choices we are called to make as followers of Christ.

The Sermon on the Mount reveals the heart of God’s Kingdom—a radical call to live by values that often stand in contrast to the world’s ways. Throughout this powerful teaching, Jesus guides us to trust God’s provision, pray sincerely, forgive others, seek righteousness, and even love our enemies.
Though didactic in nature, the Sermon on the Mount is filled with hope—hope that God’s Kingdom is real, active, and alive.
Jesus assures us that when we seek God’s Kingdom first (Matthew 6:33), He will provide for our needs and direct our steps. He invites us to live with faith-filled dependence, confident that His justice and mercy will prevail. The Sermon encourages us to prioritize eternal values over fleeting worldly concerns, promising peace, fulfillment, and life to all who follow Him.
This hope is both present and future—God’s Kingdom is breaking into the world now through lives transformed by His love, and one day it will come in fullness, bringing restoration and eternal joy. I can only cry, “Hallelujah, to the King!” I am so glad the Kingdom has come. Let’s we live to advance the Kingdom.
May this Kingdom hope always anchor your heart and inspire you to live fully for God’s glory, trusting that His promises are sure and His love never fails.
