Love God, Love People Week 4
Hi Family,
We have reached the final week of our “Embrace the Word” study, titled “Love God, Love People.”
In Week Three, we focused on walking in the pattern of Jesus, following His command and example to love. This week, I want us to concentrate on the power of His Spirit living through us.
On the same night that Jesus washed His disciples’ feet, He knew He was leaving. He understood that His disciples would face a world that wouldn’t always reciprocate their love. Yet, He told them:
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5
“Loving well” was never meant to be done in your own strength. In fact, loving like Jesus is a daunting, if not impossible, task without the power of the Holy Spirit. When we actively abide in Christ, love becomes the natural outflow of our lives. It’s not about striving or forcing ourselves; it’s about being deeply connected to the Source of love itself.
As we draw this study to a close, let’s take a moment to reflect on the significance of our daily choices. Each time we choose patience over quick judgment or prayer over holding a grudge, we are nurturing seeds that will yield lasting fruit. This is the kind of fruit that endures through all eternity.
This is not simply about finishing a study and moving on; it’s about embracing a lifelong journey of faith and love. The way you love serves as irrefutable evidence of a life changed by grace. Love is the most compelling testimony you can present to others. Every act of love becomes a reflection of God’s love through you.
💡 **Bible Study Tip: The “Life Application” Bridge**
No Bible study should just end in knowledge, but rather in application! As you open your Bible this week, don’t just “complete” the plan. Instead, choose love! Choose a “One Another” verse you discovered during your cross-reference search last week and apply it in your life.
As this study concludes, consider the one area of your life where you want Jesus’s character to be most visible from now on. Let’s seed love, so we reap a harvest of kindness, compassion, and understanding. Let’s go out and show the world that we are disciples of Christ!
It has been an honor to study with you. Join us in March. The devotional guide returns as we dive into the timeless treasure of scripture from the Book of Ruth!
Keep digging, keep leaning in, and keep loving well.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit, you may abound in hope. —Romans 15:13
