Hello Family,

Welcome the new Embrace the Word Study (ETW), Ruth: Loyalty, Loss, and a God Who Restores.

I am so glad you’ve joined us for this 31-day journey through the Book of Ruth. Whether you’ve read this story a hundred times or are opening it for the first time, I believe God has a “kairos” moment, a divine appointment waiting for you in these pages.

The Book of Ruth is often called a “romance,” but before it was a love story, it was a story of survival. It begins in a graveyard and ends in a nursery. It starts with a famine and ends with a feast.

This month, we will grapple with Loyalty, Loss, and Restoration. Loss is where many of us start. Like Naomi, we find ourselves in a “Moab” season, feeling empty and bitter. Loyalty is the bridge. It is the quiet, daily decision to keep showing up, to keep gleaning in the fields, and to stay faithful when the harvest hasn’t arrived yet. Restoration is the hope that guides us forward. It is the promise that Jesus, our “Kinsman-Redeemer,” doesn’t just fix our problems but redeems our future.

Over the next month, we will explore one chapter of the Book of Ruth each week, pairing it with relevant scriptures that align with the theme. We will learn to take refuge under the “wings” of the Almighty and uncover how even our most painful experiences are woven into a much larger story; a story of grace, redemption, and restoration.

My prayer is that by Day 31, you won’t just know the story of Ruth, you will know the heart of your Redeemer. He is the One who meets us in our emptiness and fills us with His abundance. He is a God who restores!

The Lord repay you for what you have done, and a full reward be given you by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge!” Ruth 2:12

Let’s Embrace the Word together.
