Psalm 107: Testify! Let the Redeemed of the Lord Say So! Week 4
Hello Family,
It is Week Four of our ETW study, Psalm 107: Testify! Let the Redeemed of the Lord Say So! I am so grateful for these stories of redemption and deliverance in Psalm 107. These stories encourage us in our own journey. All of our testimonies of God’s goodness encourage one another to continue to keep our faith rooted in Christ!
Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God, 2 Timothy 1:8
Sharing our story of faith can be intimidating. Fear of rejection, judgment, or ridicule often makes us hesitant to speak openly about what Jesus has done in our lives. Even as a prisoner for Christ, Paul boldly declares his faith and calls us to do the same. Paul reminds Timothy—and us—that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-discipline (2 Timothy 1:7). This truth is the foundation for bold testimony. When fear tries to silence us, we can stand firm, knowing that God’s Spirit empowers us to speak with courage, love, and clarity.
The key to overcoming fear is found in the last part of this verse: “by the power of God.” Our boldness isn’t based on our own strength but on God’s power working through us. When we rely on Him, we can face opposition, discomfort, or uncertainty without shrinking back.
Sometimes telling our story means joining in suffering for the gospel. It requires courage and faith, but it also glorifies God and brings hope to others. Your testimony, whether about healing, forgiveness, or God’s faithfulness, is a powerful light in a world that needs hope.
Today, ask God to fill you with His Spirit and courage. Remember Paul’s example and step forward boldly. Your story matters, and God’s power will carry your words to those who need to hear them.
