Review of Radiant Virtues Bible
I am excited to review the NIV Radiant Virtues Bible. I received this Bible Free for being a member of the Bible Gateway Blogger Grid and was very excited to see the features of this Bible.
First of all, the Radiant Virtues Bible gives readers a unique look at scripture by highlighting the Christian virtues of faith, hope, and love. Each time those virtues are mentioned in scripture, they have been highlighted a different color, blue for faith, yellow for hope, and pink for love.
The aim of this Bible is to “spend a year in God’s Word focusing on the virtues of faith, hope, and love.” The Bible is laid out to provide the reader a 52-week reading plan as well as opportunities for devotional, journaling, and even coloring corresponding scriptures. The pages of this Bible are filled with colorful artwork that is both beautiful and inspiring. The front of the Bible is loaded with Calendar pages that can act as a tracker to keep track of your reading progress. There are pages devoted to writing down prayers or prayer requests.
My favorite feature of this Bible is the suggested activities that go with each week’s readings. The Journal prompts give readers an opportunity to respond to the Word thoughtfully. I also love the other reading plans that focus on particular themes such as 30 Days With Jesus and 30 Days of Great Faith. I can’t forget the artwork in the back of the Bible. There are pull-out pages of artwork. Beautiful pages that can be framed or even shared with others.
A few points you may want to consider. The calendar and prayer cards are housed in the Bible. I usually want those to be separate. Also, this is a reader’s Bible more so than a study Bible. There are no reference materials in this Bible, only a few footnotes and a table of weights and measures. No concordance, no dictionary.
