Write the Word – January 2022 (With Free Gift)
Hello Family,
In the first three chapters of Ephesians, Paul tells of all the beautiful things God has done for us. God has given us all that we need, every spiritual blessing (Eph. 1:3), has seated us in heavenly places (Eph. 2:6), and so much more!
Paul begins chapter 4 by giving a clarion call for all believers to live well and righteously. Paul starts the fourth chapter saying, “I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called” Ephesians 4:1
The Amplified Version outlines four areas of our lives where we can make actionable changes; it reads: “So I, the prisoner for the Lord, appeal to you to live a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called [that is, to live a life that exhibits godly character, moral courage, personal integrity, and mature behavior—a life that expresses gratitude to God for your salvation].” Our lives should exhibit Godly character, moral courage, personal integrity, and mature behavior.
Let’s go into 2022 with this thought: “It starts with me!” It’s about more than just being the change you want to see; it is taking God’s Word and applying it so that you will conform to the image of Christ (Rom. 8:29).
This month’s Write the Word theme is “It Starts With Me!” With this scripture reading/writing plan, we will write through Ephesians 4 (and some of chapter 5) and will write other passages that deal with the following themes:
- Unity in the Body of Christ
- What He’s Done/What He’s Given
- Grow Up in Every Way
- Let Go of Your Former Ways
- Do Not Grieve the Holy Spirit
We will explore Paul’s admonishment to live the way God’s people should live. We will see how we can apply the Word of God to experience real and lasting changes, changes that start with ME (and you).
If we want to see changes in our homes, “it starts with me!”
If we want to see changes in the body of Christ, “it starts with me!”
If we want to see changes at our places of employment, “it starts with me!”
If we want to see changes in our marriages, families, and other relationships, “it starts with me!”
