Hello Family,

Welcome to the final days of our Embrace the Word study of 1 Peter: Built to Last!

Over the last five weeks, we have journeyed together through Peter’s letters to discover what it truly means to be Built to Last in our life in Christ. Here is a simple recap of our entire journey:

  • Week 1 (A Disciplined Mind): We started by focusing our thoughts on eternal hope rather than temporary circumstances, realizing that a lasting faith requires a fully alert and sober mind.
  • Week 2 (Our True Identity): We looked at how we are joined together as living stones, completely secure because our lives are built directly on Jesus Christ.
  • Week 3 (The Mindset of Christ): We learned how to maintain our stance under pressure, choosing the unchanging will of God over cultural conformity by arming ourselves with the very attitude of Jesus.
  • Week 4 (The Power of the Word): We directed our daily steps by the truth that God’s Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path, giving us the steady guidance needed to outlast any trial.
  • Week 5 (An Eternal Perspective): We closed in 2 Peter, resting our hearts in the absolute authority of God’s Word over history—from the Flood to the future promise of Christ’s return—trusting His perfect timing and keeping our eyes fixed on eternity.

Ultimately, this study has shown us that a life built to last isn’t one that never faces a storm. It is a life that stands firm because it is deeply rooted in the unshakeable truth of God’s Word!

As we wrap up our final days of reading, let’s run these truths through our Word W.O.R.K.S. lens:

Where is God bringing Wholeness to your heart when you think about the future?

How does His eternal timeline inspire a deeper daily Obedience

Where is He refining your Righteousness in a world full of conflicting messages?

How does the promise of Jesus’ return redefine your view of Kingdom Success?

Thank you for walking out this journey with me, besties. Let’s finish this study fully grounded in the truth of His Word!

July is coming, and we are spending the month in the Psalms. Our specific focus will be the Psalms of Ascents (Psalms 120–134). These scriptures are a collection of songs sung by Israel as they journeyed to Jerusalem to worship at the Temple. Just as they sang these truths while traveling to the place where God’s presence dwelt, we will see that when life is loud, difficult, or overwhelming, we can always journey directly to God. Because of Christ, we can come boldly before His throne to find grace and help in our time of need.

Join us in July as we study the Psalms of Ascents: a Journey Towards God.
