Do You Believe?
Hello Friends,
I hope that you all are doing well. Even in the midst of all that is going on in our world, we can experience God’s peace and rest in His love.
I have a question. What are you believing God for? Are you believing God in faith for the things you are praying for?
Hebrew 11:1 says,
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
I love how the Passion Translation renders this scripture:
Now faith brings our hopes into reality and becomes the foundation needed to acquire the things we long for. It is all the evidence required to prove what is still unseen.
Though we cannot yet perceive those things with our senses, faith is the evidence of its reality. Faith is a necessary element in our walk with Christ.
In Matthew 9:27-30, we find the account of Jesus healing two blind men. These blind men cried out, “Son of David, have mercy on us!” Jesus replied with a question, “Do you believe that I can do this?” The men answered, “Yes, Lord.”
Yes, they believed. They had faith in His power to heal. They had faith in His willingness to do for them what they could not do for themselves. They had faith in His love for them.
Their faith was necessary for their healing, and your faith is necessary for yours.
Faith is essential for all the things we pray for. You must believe that He is willing and able to meet your needs. Your trust and confidence in His power and ability can bring you closer to your miracle.
Friends, no matter what you are going through, believe God! As you pray, believe. As you cry, believe. As you hope, believe. Believe that your loving Father has the power to heal. He has the power to restore. He has the power to repair broken relationships. He has the power to settle your troubled mind. He has the power to soothe your weary soul. He has the power, and He is longingly willing to meet your needs or give you something better.
So, I’ll ask again, what are you believing God for? As Jesus said, “according to your faith it will be done to you.”
Your friend in the journey,
Erica
