Embrace the Word ~ July 2023: Summer in the Psalms
Thank you for joining me in celebrating Embrace the Word’s 5th Anniversary! As June draws to a close, I want to encourage you to continue in God’s Word. The Word W.O.R.K.S. Read it, study it, meditate on it, and live by it so you can walk in WHOLENESS, OBEDIENCE, RIGHTEOUSNESS, and KINGDOM-SUCCESS!
I am so excited to invite you to join me for this month’s Embrace the Word! It’s July, so it is time for Summer in the Psalms!

Psalms is a beautiful collection of poems and worship songs from throughout Israel’s history. The Psalms span the range of human emotions. Each psalmist pours out the content of their heart to God. From praise to repentance, adoration to frustration, and everything between, it can be found in Psalms. The Psalms let us know that no matter what we face, we can run to God for help. He is a very present help in trouble!
Like last year, July’s Embrace the Word Summer in the Psalms plan will include a daily passage of Scripture to read, write, and ponder. There will also be a weekly devotional guide, as well as a weekly passage of Scripture to memorize to help you engage with the Word of God. “I Will Wednesdays” will also return in the month of July. We will explore some of the most beautiful “I Will” passages in Psalms.
For this year’s Summer in the Psalms, we will focus on the following:
THIRSTING FOR GOD in Psalm 42
TRUSTING GOD in Psalm 46
THRIVING IN GOD in Psalm 92, and
THANKING GOD in Psalm 145
(We will also look at related New Testament scriptures to see how each Psalm points to Christ.)
Keep a lookout for your devotional guide for Week One of Summer in the Psalms that pairs with the Embrace the Word scripture reading/writing plan. If you are reading this on the blog and would like this guide to come to your email, click here to join my email list.
