Welcome to week two of this month’s Embrace the Word study, Bold Identity: YOU Through the Mirror of God’s Word. Last week’s focus was being Chosen, Transformed, and Empowered in Christ Jesus.

Being chosen, transformed, and empowered are three essential aspects of the Christian life, grounded in Scripture. Let’s briefly explore each one:
In Christ, we are Chosen! We have been set apart and called by Him for a special purpose. It is a profound truth that reminds us of God’s sovereignty and love. It is a special privilege to be His!
You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. John 15:16
In Christ, we are transformed! Transformation is the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer. As we surrender to God, He renews our minds, changes our desires, and empowers us to live according to His will rather than the patterns of this world.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2
In Christ, we are empowered! When we are chosen and transformed by God, He also empowers us through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. This supernatural power enables us to fulfill His purposes for our lives, serve others, and boldly proclaim the gospel.
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8
Being chosen, transformed, and empowered are all important parts of the Christian experience, grounded in the promises of God and in the work and person of Jesus Christ. As we embrace these truths, we can live with purpose, overcome temptation, and make an impact for the Kingdom of God.
This week, we look at our identity through our relationship with Jesus. Being children of God means so much more than we could ever imagine. Let’s continue to gaze into the mirror of the Word and see how it shapes our identity!
