February 2025 “Matters of the Heart: What the Bible Says About the Heart ~ Week 4

Hello Family,

It is the last week of February, and though it is a short month, it still seemed to fly by. Winter, on the other, has lingered on! As I write, I am currently snowed in–again! I hope you are happy, well, and warm.

It is the final week of the Embrace the Word Study, “Matters of the Heart: What the Bible Says About the Heart.” We have explored so many things.

(Link to the FREE Devotional Guide at the end of this email)

We began looking at what the Bible says about our “Heart Problems.” We learned that our hearts, apart from God, are desperately wicked and incurably sick. God alone knows our hearts, and He can take our hearts of stone and give us hearts of flesh. That is precisely what God desires to do–give us a “Change of Heart”. When we looked at these changes, we saw that the only true change happens when we invite Jesus into our hearts. Next, we focused our attention on our key scripture, Proverbs 4:23, which reminds us to, “Guard our hearts.” Since, everything we think, say, and do flows from our hearts, we must do all that we can to protect it.

This week, we conclude by examining “Matters of the Heart.”

As we conclude this study, I encourage you to apply all you have learned. Understanding what the Bible says about the heart is crucial for our spiritual health and transformation. It empowers us to guard our hearts, deepen our relationship with God, and live out our faith authentically.

Don’t forget Proverbs 4:23, which is a powerful verse to keep close to your heart. Consider how you will engage with this scripture daily and allow it to shape your thoughts and actions. Use the Devotional Guide to dive deeper into the Word and let the Holy Spirit teach and lead you into all truth.
