Write the Word July 2021

Happy July, and welcome to another month of Write the Word.

It’s almost unbelievable that we’ve just finished the second quarter of 2021!  How will you spend the second half of 2021?

I’m hoping that in this second half, you will walk in the freedom that we have in Christ. Far too many believers live bound to fear, sin, habits, and many other things. This is not God’s best for us. He wants us to be free. Jesus purchased our freedom on the Cross of Calvary.  We are really, truly, unquestionably free.

Even in the light of this truth, so many struggle with freedom. The Word of God is powerful to break the chains of bondage  in our lives. Whether it’s fear, sin, shame, or anxiety, you grow in freedom as you trust in Jesus.

This month’s Write the Word theme is Set Me Free!

Through God’s Word, we will learn more about freedom in Christ.  Through God’s Word, we will look at Truths that Make us Free, Freedom From Sin, Freedom From Fear, and much more.  We will write passages like:

Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. Galatians 5:1

Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 2 Corinthians 3:17

Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. John 8:36

As you write out these passages, let the truth of God’s Word wash over you again. Ask the Lord to help cement them in your heart so that you can walk in freedom just like He intended.

I would love for you to join us as we Write the Word. I would also love to hear from you. I would love to hear how God speaks to you during this month as you lean into His Word. Join the Sparrow’s Song Facebook Group here.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace,

Erica
